Who is responsible

For anything on this page, write to business@tato.studio. There is no separate data protection officer; the message reaches the people who can act on it.
What we collect, and why
When you write to us. Your address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you and, if it turns into work, to run the project. Basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you, and the performance of a contract once there is one.
When you book a call. Scheduling runs on Calendly, which takes your name, address and the time you pick. Basis: your request. Calendly is a separate controller for what it stores on its own account.
When you join the newsletter. Only your email address, held by MailerLite. Basis: your consent. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving removes the address from the list.
When you apply to the roster. The form runs on Google Forms and collects what you type into it, including your portfolio links. Basis: your request to be considered for work.
When you simply read. Our host, Vercel, records the usual server information for every request: IP address, time, page, browser. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure loading times without cookies and without anything that would let us recognise you on a later visit. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a site that works.
Google measurement. This site loads Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and the Google Ads tag. These do set cookies and do allow Google to recognise a returning browser. We use them to see which pages bring enquiries and whether advertising pays for itself.
Video and other embeds
Films play from Vimeo and YouTube inside this page. Nothing is sent to them until you press play, and from that moment their own terms and cookies apply. Stills and muted loops are served from Vercel Blob, which sets nothing.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. The ones you may receive come from Google through the tags named above, and from Vimeo or YouTube once you start a film. You can clear or block them in your browser at any time; the site works without them, only the measurement stops.
Who else sees the data
Only the services that run this site and our correspondence: Vercel for hosting, MailerLite for the newsletter, Google for measurement, forms and mail, Calendly for scheduling, Vimeo and YouTube for playback. Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We sell nothing to anyone.
How long we keep it
Correspondence for as long as the matter is live and then for the period the accounting and limitation rules require, which is six years for anything tied to an invoice. Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. Roster applications for two years, so we can come back to you when a project fits. Measurement data for the retention set in each tool, currently fourteen months in Google Analytics.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, have its use restricted, object to processing we base on legitimate interest, and receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, which does not undo what was lawful before. Write to business@tato.studio and we will act within a month.
If you think we have it wrong you can complain to the Polish supervisory authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.
Children
This site is aimed at people who commission or make video games. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When the site changes what it loads, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of older versions; if you need to know what it said on a given day, ask us.
